WYSA Academy Teams

In U11-U16 ages there will be a Div. A (Academy) team comprised of more skilled players.  Team placement will be made based on:
1. TD evaluations, that were done throughout the season (at practices & games);
2. Coach assessments;
3. Formal on field evaluations.

Commitment: 1 indoor practice per week Jan-Mar; 2 practices per week plus a game in season (Apr.-Oct.); attendance at a minimum of 1 tournament. 

There may be additional costs associated with participating on a WYSA Academy team for team gear eg. bags/jackets/training jerseys etc. (to be determined by coaches & parents after the teams are formed). Tournament costs are covered by each family - teams can look for personal company sponsorship to help with this ie. ask the company you work for. A "turf" fee will be added to your registration to cover the cost of indoor training.

WYSA Academy teams will play within the COYSA house league and will compete against similar level teams from the other COYSA clubs**

2022 - WYSA has applied to enter all of its Academy teams into the TOYSL level (to compete against Kelowna United level teams). Play in this league is regional and may include games in Penticton, Merritt, Kamloops, Vernon, Salmon Arm & Revelstoke. If accepted teams would play on Sundays April-June. The winner in each age group progresses on to the Provincial Cup in July.
